Little One’s Vlog
I bought myself a GoPro Hero 4 Silver today so I can start vlogging properly. I’m a bit of a novice and I attempted my first one last year about my ‘Bold Blue Bathroom’ but I was a bit disappointed with the quality of it due to it being filmed on my mobile phone.
Being the perfectionist that I am, I thought there is no point doing any more unless I am able to do it properly. So now I have the right equipment, I just need to get practising on my presenting skills. Any ideas for a catchphrase for my opening line?!
The aim of this vlog is to :-
- Grow my readership quickly on my blog as I have set myself some big goals and I know that videos rank highest on google, so this is probably to best way to achieve those goals.
- Inspire people in creating their dream home to their own budget
- Educate people about the importance of eco friendly design
- Help people in their journey of home ownership
- Earn a bit of extra money talking/ writing about what I love and to help pay for my wedding next year
This is going to be a bit cringey for me as I desperately don’t want to come across as being self obsessed because that is the total opposite of who I am. Please don’t think I want to be a famous blogger or anything because I don’t.
You Tube Channel – I set myself up a You Tube Channel last year and I discovered today that I have my first subscriber haha … woop woop. Keep an eye out on my channel as I will be uploading all videos there.
I’m planning to include a mixture of interior design vlogs, upcycling tutorials, time-lapses of my own home projects, my travels and adventures, any design/home events I go to as well as some DIY/ craft videos. If you have any ideas of things you would like me to vlog about then please let me know in the comments section at the bottom.
First GoPro Vlog – Little One’s Chat
I’m going to have a practice over the weekend and I’m aiming to do my first GoPro vlog for my next Little One’s Chat on Monday. This month’s Little One’s Chat topic is ‘First Time Buyer Tips’. Moving house is often listed as one of the top stressful life events, along with marriage, divorce, illness, job loss and death.
When I got the keys to my first house I found out that I was losing my job a week later and then a week after that I was a bridesmaid for my sisters wedding where I was making all the stationery for it such as menus, seating plans, place cards and order of services. Talk about a hat trick for stressful life events!
I know everyone’s life has lots of things going on so when you add in buying a house into the equation, it can end up a bit manic with tears of joy AND tantrums. My main aim of this month’s topic is to give people as many resources as I can to make buying your first house less stressful.
Buying your first home is so exciting but it can be a daunting experience when you have never done it before. Saving takes a lot of hard work and the time and effort you end up putting in can be exhausting. There are so many things that need considering from what style house to choose, location, decor, furniture, legal side of things and paper work, financial and also making sure you are buying something that will suit your requirements. Despite the huge effort involved, the amazing high you feel when you are handed your keys makes all that hard work worth while 🙂
Please don’t be overwhelmed by it all and join me on Monday at 8pm where I will be sharing as much as I can to make the process fun and enjoyable with the least stress possible.
I have gathered lots of advice from some of my friends who own their own house and can’t wait to share it all with you. My friends have kindly shared their experience as first time buyers; offering tips and advice as well as the mistakes they made along the way and what they’ve learnt from them.
I will also be including my own saving tips and advice with some insight into my top picks of products and services available to make your life much easier.
Find out more about Little One’s Chat here and if you are interested in joining the FREE blog chat on Monday 6th June at 8pm, please click on the ‘going’ or ‘interested’ option on my event page so I have an idea of expected numbers.
In the mean time, if anyone has any questions they would like answering ready for Monday, let me know on the comments section below and I can ensure my vlog/blog includes something to do with that.
