Gray Malin is a modern day fine-art photographer and New York Times bestselling author of his first monograph, BEACHES. His work hangs in homes across the world and is owned by private and public collectors. Forging his work into a larger lifestyle, Gray launched his namesake brand, Gray Malin, in 2013 and has developed commercial recognition for inventive aerial beach, ski and park scenes from around the world.
Gray Malin has collaborated with Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts and is launching an exclusive exhibition at the London Hotel on 5th October. The month-long exhibition, which will coincide with Frieze London, showcases an exclusive global first look of Malin’s new series, The Art of Living. Shot atop the pristine turquoise waters of Le Méridien Bora Bora, this is the photographer’s most conceptual series to date.
Gray Malin’s bold photographic works depict the link between wanderlust and adventure. He transports the viewer to another place and brings people together to share in his explorative spirit.
Malin hopes this exhibition will inspire guests and encourage them to see with new eyes during their travels.
Select images will be of display from Poolside Mediterranean and Bhutan: Land of Happiness, both of which were shot within the Le Méridien destinations Barcelona and Bhutan, respectively.
Throughout October, the exhibition will be open to the public in the lobby of the hotel (for the Barcelona and Bhutan collections) and in The Terrace Grill & Bar (for the new series shot in Bora Bora).
“London is a cultural hub for art that comes to life in a special way during Frieze; and Le Méridien Piccadilly will provide the perfect location to debut my new series, The Art of Living, which was shot in Bora Bora as well as a retrospective of the series I created in Barcelona and Bhutan. The exhibition with the brand, routed in unlocking destinations through an unexpected perspective, will ideally inspire, Le Méridien guests and art aficionados alike to explore and experience the world through my lens.” “The desire as a traveller to experience and immerse oneself in a destination is a perfect synergy with Le Méridien’s values as a hotel, enabling guests to unlock a destination through unique experiences and cultural touchpoints,” Gray Malin
