“We live on the Isle of Man and whilst we enjoy a reasonable selection of furniture outlets the choice is, as you would expect, fairly limited.
As a result we quite often buy from the UK and have goods shipped across. This can however be difficult especially if the UK retailer does not offer shipping / delivery outside the UK.
On a recent trip to Liverpool we visited your Showroom on Hanover Street and were very impressed with the courteous and helpful attitude of your sales staff. We saw a Natuzzi Bacco rug which we liked but it was only when we returned home that we decided to buy it. Your policy is not to deliver outside the UK and we fully understand and accept the reasons. However we were faced with the problem of getting it shipped to the Island.
The order was placed by phone with Natalie and to say that she was an excellent ambassador for Stockton’s would be an understatement! In our endeavour to find the most acceptable method of shipment she did everything she could to help from contacting the rug manufacturers to finding alternative ways to pack the rug to see if it would fit in the boot of my car.
Many years ago I was in charge of over 3000 sales / marketing employees and during my career I have been on the Board of many service industry companies. As a result I find myself judging the competence of sales people and if I find one that I believe is exceptional then I also believe he/ she should be told and also her line manager.
